Financial Abundance Strengthens Character

I am a very blessed person, and my life is rich in so many ways…..and I am so grateful for this.

Financial Abundance has been something that ‘I’ve been working on’ for a very long time. It seems to elude me….one area of my finances grows and then another area goes down hill. What’s up with that? How am I sabotaging myself?

Well, this is a year of unfolding and releasing ‘old beliefs, old language’ and whatever has limited me and kept me from reaching my greatest potential.

And it is a year of learning through great joy and love and with ease….instead of through pain…no need….what a refreshing thought and realization!! And I received a small contract very easily yesterday….it just showed up…and I accepted it…just like that! This will add $12,000 to my income this year. And this morning I woke up worrying!!

I practice EFT (tapping)…do it with clients and do it with myself. I was ready to uncover the root cause, release it, replace it with a powerful belief and move forward.

I learned 2 things. I was living in fear that I wouldn’t be able to handle financial riches. I was living a fear based life instead of a faith based life. Then I opened a book, and this quote popped out … “Faith is a [my] Teacher in the absence of Fact.” I like that one!

The other thing that came to light was a family belief about the character of people with riches…that their ‘character’ was not of the highest quality. Well, I am authentic and living my truth and my character will strengthen as I become richer and richer. And I will be able to give back even more to the world. Boy, do I feel empowered with those beliefs, and ‘knowings’! And this is the truth….my truth. It’s time to start living my truth, not the truths that my parents had. They did the best they could with what they knew. I know something different now and it’s time for me to live it!

Here’s to your empowerment in 2012!

Perspective and Change

I love reading and learning, growing and understanding….I guess it’s all about expanding, and gaining new awareness. It’s amazing how many limiting belief that are hidden within me! So as I am discovering my authentic self, I am always working on releasing the limiting beliefs…picking off the dead flowers, so to speak. This morning I read this, and think it’s a great perspective and wanted to share it. Enjoy this perspective!
Here’s to making 2012 an Abundant and Joy-filled year!

“A Pot of Panatunies

As many times before, my gardening rituals brought about some thoughts. The other day I learned a lesson; but not one of which I didn’t already know. The lesson just became clearer because of my hands-on experience.

We have a large pot of panatunies growing in our back yard. You might ask, “What are panatunies?” When our daughter was about 3 years old she proclaimed the name of our petunias by combining the name pansies and petunias. We have used that name ever since to describe our petunias.

Just like roses, if you want more blooms to occur on your petunias, you need to snap off the dried up buds. I don’t mind at all dead-heading petunias or roses; in fact it’s rather relaxing. So here I was working with this big pot of petunias which are a beautiful deep purple. As I was standing on one side of the pot I picked all the dead ones I could see, and thought I was through. However as I began to move around the pot I began to see more and more of them. For awhile I thought I would never finish. I began to lift up the stems to discover more underneath.

The result I am always trying to bring about is to help maintain a nice looking pot of panatunies. This work always rewards me with new blooms. A few days of laziness had got me to this place and I was paying the price.

The thought that came to me is that if we procrastinate, we pay a price or even worse. We may have to do something over and over to keep the beauty of what we want to accomplish.

In other words, change your perception, your view. Heck, stand at a different spot if you have to. There are times (sometimes many) that you feel you’re going around in circles picking off old dried blooms, but what you are really doing is clearing up old negative garbage and being persistent trying out new ideas.

If you want your life to look and feel great there are times that you may have to do something over and over while you’re looking under your old beliefs and picking them off to bring forth new and vibrant ones.

Ideas with right action equal a great life, but if you don’t feel you’re there yet then go back to the pot of panatunies and start over again. You will then find your life enriched with new vibrant blooms.

Happy 2012 – Welcome Mistakes

I just read this blog from Neil Gaiman http://journal.neilgaiman.com/

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.

So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”

Thank you Neil.

I think that his suggestions are so real and true and authentic. Let’s make mistakes with grace and be grateful for them….that’s what learning is all about!

Here’s to a New Year of Growth and Change and Magnificent Mistakes!

Preparing for the New Year

It’s the last Thursday of 2011! This week I spend time reflecting on the year past and the year to come. As a practice, I write down some focus words for the year about to unfold…like joy, orderly, ease, consistency, love, trust…..what would be your words? Here’s a great quote to ponder:
“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.” Edith Lovejoy Pierce
Make this last week of 2011, a week of love, gratitude, acceptance, and joy! ♥♥

Thanksgiving – What are you Grateful For?

Yesterday was a very unique day filled with a combination of abundance and scarcity all at the same time.  I had the feeling of being at peace with it all, although I did wake very early this morning.

During the day, I did have the opportunity to review my debt and think about Thanksgiving at the same time.  Here’s what I came up with…I am so grateful for the debt I do have because I am a learner and knowledge seeker and the ability to borrow money gave me the opportunity to learn and grow…and to move forward in life.  What are you grateful for this Thanksgiving?

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone!

Be Grateful for Being You!

I love gratitude and one of my favourite things to do every day, is to start my day right by writing 10 things that I’m grateful for in my Gratitude Journal….for the abundance I have in my life.

Today as I looked up at my calendar, I gave thanks to my friend who gave me this special calendar called ‘You are a Very Special Girl’.  I love it…it always lifts my spirits if I’m down. And it’s a constant reminder of how unique and special each one of us is.

Here’s what one month said:
“As you go on in this world, always BELIEVE in your dreams. Keep looking forward to the FUTURE….to all you might be. Don’t let old mistakes or misfortunes hold you down: LEARN from them, FORGIVE….and move on. Do not be bothered or discouraged by adversity. Instead, meet it as a CHALLENGE. Be EMPOWERED by the COURAGE it takes to overcome the obstacles.

LEARN something new every day. Be INTERESTED in others and what they might TEACH you, but do not look for yourself in the faces of others. As far as WHO you are and who you will become goes….the answer is ALWAYS within yourself. Follow your HEART and your DREAMS. You….like everyone….will make mistakes. But so long as you are TRUE to YOURSELF, you can never go wrong.
Be Grateful for the Blessing that YOU are to the WORLD!
