The Holiday Season is come and gone! Do you remember when you were a kid and were too excited to sleep because of Santa coming and all the wonderful things that were going to be under the Christmas Tree. That was me anyways!
Now many can’t sleep due to sleep challenges and worry and never being able to get down to that deep deep level of recovery sleep. It isn’t a once a year thing. Rather it’s an every night thing. There are solutions. I use to sleep only 3 or 4 hours a night. Now it’s 7 or 8 hours of solid recovery sleep.
The study of sleep didn’t start in North America until the 1950’s and that’s when Dr. Demant co-discovered REM sleep. And the American Sleep Research Institue wasn’t founded util 1988.
Because of my previous sleep challenges and the solutions that I found, I like to keep updated on some breakthrough technologies that can assure you that you can get up feeling alert and well rested in the morning.
I wish you all a very Happy and Prosperous 2010! Feel empowered every day by getting a good night’s sleep!

This October, my Wynter’s Wellness Business turned 16 years old! During that time, there has been different evolutuions and focuses, and if I am truthful, lots of confusion. And I believe that with confustion, comes opportunity for growth and clarity. That’s if the belief is that confusion is part of life’s journey. Clarity and new Choices and possibilities can flow from the confusion.
In the confusion, have you ever had that negative, defeating , muttering mind that keeps asking things like, ‘Why can’t I do this better?’ ‘Am I ever going to be successful?’ ‘Why can’t I get out of debt?’ And that muttering negative mind can go on and on and on.
How does it make you feel? I know how it makes me feel…defeated even before I put my feet on the floor to start the day!
I love listening to teleseminars, because I’m a learning, information gathering ’junkie’, you might say. We are so blessed to have so much information offered to us at no charge these days.
Two seminars last week has helped me make some shifts in my mindset. One was called ‘The Secret of the New Entrepreneurial Mind’ by Christopher Howard. He wrote the book ‘Turning Passions into Profits’…another very valuable book. He is launching his new book called ‘Instant Wealth: Wake Up Rich’. http://www.instantwealthlive.com/
He has studied Billionaires. Christopher said: ‘In order to create ever expansive wealth, one of the major keys is to shift to the Business Owner and Investor mindset’. I know I had some limiting beliefs and programs within me that were so deep and stubborningly persistent that the shift was slow. How do I reprogram my mind for huge financial success? How do I start to think like these Billionaires?
Well, it’s obvious that they don’t think those thoughts that I mentioned earlier. So I combined what Christopher was talking about with some work that I did also with Noah St. John www.SuccessClinic.com.
He talked about using Afformations, as well as Affirmations. Take an Affirmation that says for example, ‘I am rich’ and form a question from this Affirmation such as ‘Why am I so Rich?’ Now the mind starts to focus on why this is so. What an idea!…just start asking empowering questions. And that wonderful mind wants to give you some answers to why you’re so rich! So I started writing powerful afformations…empowering questions…with the affirmations and goals I have set for myself. And a very empowering shift has occurred for me. This has moved me to empowering thoughts, words and right into empowering actions! (it does take all 3 to manifest).
Try it for yourself and let me know how it works for you.

Tomorrow in the USA it’s Thanksgiving. I am in Canada and we, in Canada, celebrate ours in October. Because I have family in the States, it feels like I get to celebrate the occasion twice.
I love gratitude and one of my favourite things to do every day, is to start my day right by writing 10 things that I’m grateful for in my Gratitude Journal….for the abundance I have in my life.
Today as I looked up at my calendar, I gave thanks to my friend who gave me this special calendar for 2009 called ‘You are a Very Special Girl’. I love it…it always lifts my spirits if I’m down. And it’s a constant reminder of how unique and special each one of us is.
Here’s what November says:
“As you go on in this world, always BELIEVE in your dreams. Keep looking forward to the FUTURE….to all you might be. Don’t let old mistakes or misfortunes hold you down: LEARN from them, FORGIVE….and move on. Do not be bothered or discouraged by adversity. Instead, meet it as a CHALLENGE. Be EMPOWERED by the COURAGE it takes to overcome the obstacles.
LEARN something new every day. Be INTERESTED in others and what they might TEACH you, but do not look for yourself in the faces of others. As far as WHO you are and who you will become goes….the answer is ALWAYS within yourself. Follow your HEART and your DREAMS. You….like everyone….will make mistakes. But so long as you are TRUE to YOURSELF, you can never go wrong.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Be Grateful for the Blessing that YOU are to the WORLD!

What is Empowerment?
Here’s some ideas of what empowerment may be about.
Is it a way of living a life you love, respect?
Is it a true happiness that you have and hold within your very being?
Is it finding your light?
Is it being in and finding your true unique identity?
Is it then embracing that authentic you?
Is it finding that serenity within and feeling calmness and peace?
Is it mastering you?
Is it finding your passion?
Is it discovering your purpose?
Is it aligning with your Spiritual essence?
Is it discovering resources that you can use in both the good times and the challenging times?
Is it knowing what you want in life and taking actions to get there?
Is it loving yourself?
Is it gratitude for all you have in life?
Is it connection?
Is it commitment?
Is it acceptance of yourself and self respect?
Is it acceptance of others?
Is it unconditional love?
Is it honesty with yourself?
Is it honesty with others?
Is it trusting yourself?
I think that it may be all of these and so much more.
Whatever it is, I believe that it is stepping into your power, and I’ve added with Grace.
What is Grace? Because I work with Women and empowering them to reach their highest potential, I especially liked this definition:
Grace: The exercise of love, kindness, mercy, favor; disposition to benefit or serve another; favor bestowed or privilege conferred. The inspirers of the qualities which give attractiveness to wisdom, love, and social intercourse.
So to me, Empowerment is about being in your own unique power and embracing it with love and kindness while being of service to others. That definitely is a powerful way to live, don’t you think?
Wishing you an Empowering Day and Life!

I am not a financial coach or wealth coach or business coach. I am an empowerment coach for women and for wellness. And what I’m about to comment on does fit into empowerment.
Money, money, money. In the past I shied away from the subject (maybe because I was taught as a child not to talk about money). As I grew up, and as a young woman, my emotional/psychological perspective around money was laid. Men earned the money (because my Dad did), we had less money then most of my friends, and an insight I just got…I associated money with never seeing my father, who I loved dearly, because he had to have so many jobs to care for his 5 children and my Mom. Not too empowering thinking on my part.
In our society today and particularly at this time, people are focusing on the money they have or HAD. There is a lot of concern and focus around loss. How do I know? I fell into the trap of that scarcity mind-set.
I realize though that as I focused on my net worth, my investments and savings and how they made a nose-dive, my self worth was being affected. So as my net worth went down, my ‘not-worth’ self worth went up. And that is not what I wanted after spending so many years working on my worthiness and self worth. It was time for an attitude and perspective adjustment. Time to heal and grow.
And, it is a continuing learning process.
Through working with some fantastic coaches like Mike Litman, releasing Limiting Beliefs with Morty Lefkoe’s process of ‘Recreating My Life’, and EFT, such as ‘Money Beyond Belief’ by Brad Yates…the value of both Net Worth and Self Worth is on the rise.
Then I went to my local library for a book sale and purchased a book that is wonderfully helpful…’Your Money and Your Life’ written by Joe Dominguez and Vicki Robin. More learning and growth is happening as I write this.
Life is a journey and the journey to self worth comes in various forms and ways. I am grateful for this new look at my past, my limiting beliefs and the value of having both expanding self worth and net worth, releasing ‘not worth’!
